how we save the world

Our first superpower is to hope.

There is always hope wherever and whenever people are gathered together.

Raise your hand if you have hope. Any hope.

Otherwise lower it now.

Placing the audience in control of the decisions, making a game out of climate conversations, forces us to think with empathy and care about the interests of the characters we are talking to.

What angle can we use to help them see that the consequences of climate change will be to their detriment too? How confident are we doing that on the spot in front of an audience of strangers?
— Matt Law Environmental change and sustainability researcher

What if you had the power to save the world?

This is an adventure to various moments in our past where change might be possible, to help us save the world from the worsening effects of climate change.

Presented by Coney, The Natural History Museum and The Natural Environmental Research Council. Created in collaboration with the world’s leading Climate Scientists.

First presented presented to live audiences as part of the Museum’s Lates event in 2018. HOW WE SAVE THE WORLD was adapted into a live digital production, for a new global context, in March 2021 and brought playing audiences together from all over the world.
